He served as the Senior Director of Support Programs and Partnerships at AVANCE-Houston, overseeing operations for the Healthy Marriage and Adult Literacy departments. He has also played a significant role in fostering community initiatives, such as DIY workshops with Home Depot and OSHA certification training.

Washington’s dedication to community service is evident through his multifaceted roles and accomplishments at AVANCE-Houston, where he significantly enhanced programs like Healthy Marriage, Adult Literacy, and created the Building Future’s Youth Program. Washington’s leadership lead the charge of his programs surpassing federal targets and offering impactful resources to the community. His background in social services and nonprofit management spans two decades, with expertise in workforce development, family wellness, and relationship education
